Full Color for Reverse Text
The graphic below illustrates the uses of reverse text on full color backgrounds of business cards. Reverse text simply reverse to inverting the traditional white background/solid color text relationship so that the background is now a solid color and the text/font is white. The first samples shows a classic example. In this case the background color is a light blue while the font is white. This style of text is commonly used on full color business cards as the background of the cards is almost always not white. It becomes necessary to change to the font to white...especially on very dark backgrounds where the text would otherwise be unreadable on the business cards
The second example has an even darker version of blue, where using reverse text is necessary to make the text visible. We could of course use a lighter color or pastel color on the card. This is exemplified on the third sample, showing a black color background with an off-yellow text. A red colored business card can also work with this same off-yellow. Reverse text is not a requirement for full color business cards but the effect does look nice.
Before your order is completed, let us know how you want the text to appear on your business card if there is dark color background on the card: reverse text or just light colored text. You can send us the text in Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw format. Make sure the text has been converted to outlines.
